Massage Etiquette
•24 hour Cancellation required- Please cancel within the 24 hour window in order to avoid paying 50% of your service or the full fee. I understand emergencies arise and that is why the 24hrs window is in place for us both. This allows time to fill the space now available. If you cancel the morning of or if you no show, 100% FULL fee of your session will be charged. This is the same as when someone arrives 15 minutes late. Just like any other service, massage therapy requires time. Once 15 minutes have passed, a text is sent & phone call is made, then the FULL service fee is charged. If you arrive late, we simply finish the remainder of the time or we reschedule your session for another time. Keep in mind, the full fee is still charged for the time. Please understand that missed appointments, hurt my small business and also the therapeutic progress we have made.
•Credit Care on File- (As of May 2020) all Seidy Cruz LMT clients will be required to place a credit card on file. This is for quicker check out, memberships, cancellation fees, gift certificate purchase, products & charging card at your request when necessary.
•No refunds on gift certificates
• Indulge in a nice soothing shower before your session- Showering warms the muscles and relaxes the body. In taking a shower beforehand, you are clearing your skin allowing breathing space for your skin to absorb the essential oils and lotions/cream/oils we use during your session. Lets make this experience the best it can be for us both.
• Bodily Functions- It is not uncommon to pass gas during your session. If you should feel the need to use the restroom, we simply pause the session and continue when you return. While uncommon, some men will experience an erection. It will be ignored and additional draping measures will be provided to increase coverage.
• Breathe- Deep breathing promotes relaxation and will enhance the therapeutic quality and enjoyment of your massage session. Sounds silly but just like how in a tense situation, you take a deep breath to calm down, relaxing for your massage requires the same breathing technique. Deep inhale, Giiiiinormous exhale. You got this!
•Please be courteous to others and do not bring your children to the location- I am located inside of suites with other professionals beside me. If you can not find a sitter, please reschedule your session for another day.
• Arrive on time- Please be aware that a late arrival will determine the length of your treatment. Your service will end as scheduled so that the next guest may begin on time. If you are new, arrive a little earlier to completely your paperwork without cutting into your massage session.
• Undress to your level of comfort- This means, get undressed down to whatever article of clothing you are comfortable keeping on. Some people prefer to undress fully. To each their own. All undressing and laying on the table is done in private. If you decide to leave your undergarments on and require lower body work, this may hinder the work that needs to be provided. Remember that only the body part that is being worked on is exposed. You will always be wrapped up like a burrito for your safety and comfort.
• Communicate honestly with your therapist- ALL healthcare practitioners (As of 2015, Licensed Massage Therapists have been added to the medical board) need to know about health issues, Covid19 updates, areas to be avoided, pressure level, music and generally any information that might avoid further injury and ensure a positive experience. Although it is recommended for maximum relaxation that there be silence, communication will always be key. Do not hesitate to let me know at any time if anything needs to be changed regarding your experience.
• TURN OFF YOUR PHONE- A phone ringing will not be tolerated in my studio. You are here to relax and take advantage of the only "ME" time you might get all month. TURN IT OFF!!!!
• Tips- Tipping in not required but always appreciated for absolutely amazing service :)
• NO INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR TOLERATED- If you have not noticed already, I take my inappropriate behavior policy very seriously. DO NOT ATTEMPT A SOLICITATION REQUEST! You will not like the outcome!
